Peaches Outdoors

This is an outdoor canning lesson, under a tent at the historic McConnell Farm in Independence Township. The property has been a working farm since 1787. Our host, Amy McConnell Schaarsmith, Post-Gazette staff member and former food editor, is a ninth-generation owner. The farm, famous for its PEACHES with chefs and mortals alike, is an easy jaunt from the city

Presiding with Amy Schaarsmith: Bill Fuller, Exec. Chef Big Burrito Group and stellar canner and pro canners/food writers Marlene Parrish and Nancy Hanst
